Basketball Recap: Capitol Takes a Loss

Capitol was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the East Ascension Spartans, falling 71-7. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-1.

Capitol's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for East Ascension, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Capitol will take on Ascension Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Ascension, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hammond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
