Basketball Recap: Lackey Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Lackey extended their home winning streak to six games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Malik Gordon. The Lackey Chargers came out on top against the Northern Patriots by a score of 60-48 on Tuesday thanks in part to Gordon, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Despite the loss, Northern still got an impressive performance from Alec Johnson, who posted eight points in addition to eight rebounds and six blocks. Johnson is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Bryce Robinson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Lackey has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Northern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Lackey has already played their next matchup, a 55-46 win against La Plata on the 17th. As for Northern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-62 loss against Great Mills on the 17th.
