Ashbrook is 9-1 against North Gaston since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Ashbrook Greenwave will take on the North Gaston Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Ashbrook's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 19 games.

Ashbrook took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-48 win over Forestview. Given the Greenwave's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Jaguars are ranked 310th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, North Gaston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 62-46 to Kings Mountain.

Ashbrook's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.2 points over those games. As for North Gaston, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.

Everything came up roses for Ashbrook against North Gaston in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 75-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ashbrook since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
