Soccer Recap: Stevens Takes a Loss

The matchup between Stevens and Warren on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Falcons lost 7-1 to the Warriors. Stevens were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Stevens and nudges their season record down to 5-5-1. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-6-1 Taft (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 69.2% over those games). As for Warren, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Stevens will head out to challenge Sotomayor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Warren, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Taft at 5:00 p.m. Taft will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.
