Southridge won against Westminster Christian last Thursday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Spartans beat the Hialeah Educational Academy Biggie by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. With that victory, the Spartans brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Amari Davis looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Southridge is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-2 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Chris Gonzalez was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those stolen bases were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Carrasco, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Southridge hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hialeah Educational Academy struck out ten times.

The win made it two in a row for Southridge and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Southridge will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Miami Beach at 6:30 p.m. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Miami Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
