Basketball Recap: Mercer Takes a Loss

Mercer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 45-28 bruising from the Washburn Castle Guards. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Castle Guards earlier this season, when they won 36-33.

Mercer's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Washburn, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6.

Mercer has already played their next contest, a 62-40 loss against Butternut on the 4th. As for Washburn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-51 defeat against South Shore on the 3rd.
