Volleyball Recap: Burke Snags 18th Win in Last 20 Games

Burke's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Emmie Hausmann paced Burke's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hausmann got some help from Emmy Spencer and her six assists. Katelyn Hagberg controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Burke has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.

Burke wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Tournament Opponent on the 25th. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, they will head out on the road to challenge Sanborn Central/Woonsocket at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
