Basketball Recap: Plainview Skates Past Dickson with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plainview). They claimed a resounding 70-30 victory over the Dickson Comets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Plainview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ally Brown, who posted seven points along with ten rebounds and three steals. Those ten boards gave Brown a new career-high. Abby Chaney was another key player, going 6 of 15 en route to 14 points and five rebounds.

Plainview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Plainview now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Dickson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Plainview will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lone Grove at 6:30 p.m. on January 28th. Dickson has already played their next contest (against Wynnewood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
