Dominguez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Firebaugh Falcons. Oscar Villa was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. Dominguez is 3-1 when Villa allowsone or fewer earned runs, but 2-3-1 otherwise. Villa was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
