Soccer Game Preview: Cheney vs. Ferris

The Cheney Blackhawks will square off against the Ferris Saxons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Cheney is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Cheney will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Gonzaga Prep, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. The Blackhawks beat the Bullpups by a goal, winning 2-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ferris). Their defense stepped up to hand Shadle Park an 8-0 shutout on Wednesday. Ferris haven't had any issues with Shadle Park recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The victory got Cheney back to even at 6-6-2. As for Ferris, their win bumped their record up to 3-5-2.
