Softball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall fell victim to Tuckerman and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 10-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Bobcats were not able to get on the board.

Marshall dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Tuckerman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Marshall is taking a road trip to take on Shirley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.42 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tuckerman, they will host Walnut Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
