Central Hinds Academy had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. Everything went their way against Christ Covenant as they made off with a 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Zack Moak tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

At the plate, Central Hinds Academy got a massive performance out of Jay Shuff, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Shuff has posted since back in February. Aaden George was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Central Hinds Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .412 or higher in eight consecutive matchups.

Central Hinds Academy's victory bumped their record up to 21-12. As for Christ Covenant, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Coincidentally, Central Hinds Academy and Christ Covenant will both be playing St. Aloysius the next time they take the field. Christ Covenant will head out to face the Flashes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
