Softball Recap: Mize Has No Trouble Against Raleigh

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mize walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Raleigh Lions with a sharp 9-3 victory on Monday. Considering the Bulldogs have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Mize pushed their record up to 20-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Raleigh, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-19-1.

Coming up, Mize will host Pisgah at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dragons will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. Raleigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
