Baseball Recap: Dutch Fork Find Success

Dutch Fork won the last time they faced Dreher and things went their way on Monday too. The Silver Foxes came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 6-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Silver Foxes.

David Derrick was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Derrick was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other pitching news, Brantley Loebs looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

Derrick wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Luciano Cesario, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Dutch Fork's record is now 10-8. As for Dreher, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Coming up, Dutch Fork will take on Gray Collegiate Academy in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Dreher, they will venture away from home to take on A.C. Flora at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
