Halifax County can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the George Washington Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Comets also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Halifax County's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for George Washington, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Halifax County will be taking part in a tournament against Orange County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for George Washington, they will head out to square off against Martinsville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
