Volleyball Recap: Gladewater Gets the Win

Gladewater hadn't done well against Carlisle recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Indians. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

While Gladewater won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-18.

Gladewater's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Carlisle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Gladewater wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Overton on the 22nd. As for Carlisle, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Shelbyville on the 21st.
