Softball Recap: Lebanon Sets Scoring Season-High Against Lavergne

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lebanon). They blew past the LaVergne Wolverines 19-2 on Tuesday. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Alyssa Horne was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Horne was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Caitlin Greer was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Keeli Davis was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Lebanon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .324 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Lebanon now has a winning record of 15-14. As for LaVergne, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.
