Softball Recap: Johnsburg Comes Up Short

Johnsburg was the 8-4 winner over Richmond-Burton when they last played one another on April 8th, but their luck changed this time around. The Skyhawks fell 13-8 to the Rockets on Tuesday. The Skyhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carlie Majercik was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimmy Whitlock, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Johnsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Richmond-Burton, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-11.

Coming up, Johnsburg will challenge Sandwich at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Skyhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Richmond-Burton, they will face off against Harvard at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
