Basketball Recap: Chambers Extends Winning Streak to Five

Chambers entered their tilt with Hough on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 58-47 victory over the Hough Huskies. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 64-52 back in December of 2024.

Chambers was led to victory by Markus Kerr and Tarris Bouie III. Kerr dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards, while Bouie III dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Kerr has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 19 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cameron Thompson, who posted three points along with ten boards and six steals.

Despite the defeat, Hough had strong showings from Judah Freeman, who went 10 of 21 on his way to 24 points and five rebounds, and Evan Otto, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards. What's more, Freeman also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Chambers pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.7 points per game. As for Hough, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Chambers didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-75 loss against Harding University on the 31st. Hough has also already played their next matchup, a 57-34 victory against West Mecklenburg on the 31st.
