Soccer Game Preview: Marshall vs. Tyler

Marshall hasn't had much luck against Tyler recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Marshall Mavericks will be playing at home against the Tyler Lions at 6:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Marshall fell victim to Nacogdoches and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Tyler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Mt. Pleasant.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Tyler, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
