Volleyball Recap: Dryden Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Dryden took on Lansing on Friday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Tuesday.

Dryden took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Dryden lost, don't look at Emma Deeley. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and five aces. Deeley is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season.

Dryden's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lansing, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Dryden will challenge rival Whitney Point at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lansing is set to face off against their familiar foe Watkins Glen at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
