Soccer Game Preview: Chestatee vs. Flowery Branch + How To Watch

The Chestatee War Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Flowery Branch Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Chestatee and six for Flowery Branch.

Chestatee fell victim to Pickens and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Dragons. While losing is never fun, Chestatee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while Pickens are ranked 127th).

Meanwhile, Flowery Branch didn't have quite enough to beat Cedar Shoals on Tuesday and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Flowery Branch have lost by just one goal.

Chestatee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Flowery Branch, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Chestatee suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Flowery Branch in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can the War Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
