Recap: Braden River Pirates vs. Southeast Seminoles

The Braden River Pirates had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They slipped by Southeast 43-42 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Braden River, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Braden River can attribute much of their success to Kamiyah Mcgrady, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcgrady has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelis Mcgrady, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Southeast lost, one person who can't be blamed is Azharia Jones. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points.

Braden River's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7. As for Southeast, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Braden River will head out on the road to take on Port Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Port Charlotte presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Braden River in Florida (Port Charlotte is ranked 145th, while Braden River is ranked 412th). As for Southeast, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sarasota at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Sarasota focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday.
