Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, University couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 3-0 to the Coal Ridge Titans on Saturday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their 16-game winning streak.

Joel Ramirez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

University's loss dropped their record down to 24-4. As for Coal Ridge, the victory was the 21st in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-2-1.

As of now, neither University nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
