Basketball Recap: Jaiden Copeland's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hill Freedman World Academy over Roxborough

If Hill Freedman World Academy was riding high fresh off their 76-56 takedown of Maritime Academy Charter last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hill Freedman World Academy took a 69-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roxborough Wolves on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hill Freedman World Academy of the 57-47 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Hill Freedman World Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaiden Copeland, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points. Copeland is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dahkenah Wilkins, who posted 15 points.

Roxborough got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brandon Searles out in front who went 7 for 11 en route to 18 points. Zymeir Robinson was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven boards and four steals.

Hill Freedman World Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Roxborough, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Hill Freedman World Academy has already played their next game, a 62-49 victory against MAST Charter II on the 30th. As for Roxborough, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-31 win against Martin Luther King on the 30th.
