Volleyball Recap: Santana Gets the Win

If Grossmont wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Santana, they should've done a better job of containing Patrick Deegan. Santana walked away with a 3-1 victory over Grossmont on Thursday for which the team can thank Deegan, who had 35 digs and five aces. Those 35 digs gave him a new career-high.

Santana was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, 23-25, 25-15.

Santana's record now sits at 5-6. As for Grossmont, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Santana and Grossmont will both be playing Granite Hills the next time they take the court. Santana will head out to face Granite Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Grossmont will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
