Basketball Recap: High Point Baptist Academy Falls Short of Linville Hill in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact High Point Baptist Academy can now relate to. They fell 59-51 to the Linville Hill Warriors on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent defeat being a 48-40 loss two weeks ago.

Giovanni Sejuste continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Linville Hill, almost dropping a double-double with 30 points and nine boards. Sejuste is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last nine games he's played. Drew Tibbins was another key player, putting up nine points.

High Point Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Linville Hill, they pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season.

High Point Baptist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Linville Hill, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Coventry Christian at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
