Baseball Recap: Mount Calvary Christian Comes Up Short

Mount Calvary Christian lost against Columbia on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Chargers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-3 to the Crimson Tide, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mount Calvary Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Columbia, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Coming up, Mount Calvary Christian will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Christian School of York at 4:15 p.m. The Chargers are on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Christian School of York a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. As for Columbia, they are taking a road trip to challenge Annville-Cleona at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Crimson Tide's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dutchmen have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
