Baseball Recap: Gilbert Tigers vs. ALA - Gilbert North Eagles

While Gilbert didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the ALA - Gilbert North Eagles on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

At the plate, Tyler Silvestre was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Wilfredo Aviles IV, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Gilbert was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as ALA - Gilbert North only posted a batting average of .250.

Looking ahead, Gilbert will be playing in front of their home fans against Dobson at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
