Football Recap: Gonzaga Falls Short Against Ranked Benedictine

Gonzaga is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Benedictine. The Eagles fell 21-14 to the Cadets. The Eagles were up 14-0 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

This is the second loss in a row for Gonzaga and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Benedictine, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Gonzaga will face off against Bishop McNamara at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Benedictine, they will venture away from home to face off against Collegiate at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
