Recap: Life Center Academy Warriors vs. Cardinal O'Hara Lions
The Life Center Academy Warriors posted their closest win yet this season on Sunday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Cardinal O'Hara 62-59. The win was all the more spectacular given Life Center Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 85th in New Jersey, while Cardinal O'Hara is ranked second in Pennsylvania).
It was another big night for Kiyomi McMiller, who scored 40 points along with two steals. McMiller is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Karma Payne, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
Life Center Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Cardinal O'Hara, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2.
Life Center Academy will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against NC GBB Academy at 9:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Cardinal O'Hara, they will square off against West Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
