Softball Recap: Belle Vernon Leopards vs. Laurel Highlands Mustangs
Belle Vernon took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (and then some). They blew past the Laurel Highlands Mustangs 12-2. That's more bragging rights for Belle Vernon, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
For Laurel Highlands' part, Niaha Dillard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.

Belle Vernon will head out on the road to square off against Elizabeth Forward at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Elizabeth Forward will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Belle Vernon surely won't give up without a fight. As for Laurel Highlands, they will be playing at home against Uniontown at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
