Soccer Recap: Anna-Jonesboro Takes a Loss

Anna-Jonesboro's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Murphysboro Red Devils by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Anna-Jonesboro of the 0-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2017.

Their goal came courtesy of Ethan Plott, who's now up to nine this season.

Anna-Jonesboro's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Murphysboro, their record is now 5-3.

Anna-Jonesboro has already played their next matchup, a 7-0 victory against Pinckneyville on the 10th. As for Murphysboro, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against Massac County on the 11th.
