Ragin Prep Christian Academy had lost three straight headed into Friday's game, but Kavontay Rose didn't let it get to four. The Ragin Prep Christian Academy Rams walked away with a 42-34 victory over the Latta Vikings on Friday thanks in part to Rose, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Kayshaun Rutherford, who posted seven points and five rebounds. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Latta lost, don't look at Xy'Mari Bethea. Despite the final result, he put up eight points and ten rebounds. Anthony Williams was another key player, putting up seven points.

Ragin Prep Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Latta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Ragin Prep Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-33 defeat against North Myrtle Beach on the 4th. As for Latta, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-34 loss against Cathedral Academy on the 4th.
