Recap: Spring Hill Broncos vs. Louisburg Wildcats

After a string of three wins, The Spring Hill Broncos''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost to Louisburg on the road by a decisive 35-21 margin. Spring Hill lost against Louisburg in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 20-17 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Spring Hill lost, one person who can't be blamed is Colton Mckanna. Despite the final result, he rushed for 190 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Mckanna is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played.

Leading Louisburg to victory were Ashton Moore and Declan Battle. Moore gained 182 total yards and two touchdowns, while Battle rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns. Louisburg also got help from Caden Caplinger who showed off his sure hands for 87 receiving yards.

Spring Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Louisburg, their victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spring Hill will take on Leavenworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Louisburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Labette County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Labette County has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since September first.
