Baseball Recap: St. Paul's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

St. Paul and Monroe squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but St. Paul had to settle for second. They fell 11-8 to the Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buckaroos of the 11-10 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2018.

St. Paul's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8. As for Monroe, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

St. Paul does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monroe, they will take on Kennedy on Friday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Dragons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
