Basketball Recap: Vicksburg Comes Up Short

Vicksburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 87-46 loss at the hands of the Benton Harbor Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 391st, while the Tigers are ranked 159th).

Vicksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Benton Harbor, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Vicksburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-65 loss against Portage Northern on the 6th. As for Benton Harbor, they will take on South Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benton Harbor knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully South Haven likes a good challenge.
