Football Recap: Hominy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Hominy waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Woodland Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 32-16. This was payback for the Bucks, who suffered a 34-14 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Woodland still got an impressive performance from Jaston Terry, who rushed for 94 yards and one score on only 13 carries.

Hominy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Woodland, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Hominy will head out to challenge Fairland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bucks will need to watch out since the Owls have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Woodland, they will be playing at home against Afton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
