Football Recap: Upland Skates Past Ayala with Ease

Upland barely beat Ayala the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Highlanders/Scots blew past the Bulldogs 37-0 on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Highlanders/Scots as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Upland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lequand (Jack Jack) Jackson, who threw for 157 yards and two TDs on only ten passes, and also rushed for 37 yards. The dominant performance also gave (Jack Jack) Jackson a new career-high in passer rating (152.1).

Upland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dane Gosserand and Jerome Smith (Spanky). Upland received some extra help from Aiden Davis, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Upland's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Ayala, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
