Basketball Recap: Arcadia Takes a Loss

Arcadia saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Auburn Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Apaches can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 231st in California, while the Trojans are ranked fourth in Washington).

When it comes to explaining why Arcadia lost, don't look at Noa Eteuati-Edwards. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Owen Eteuati Edwards, who earned ten points.

Arcadia has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Auburn, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Arcadia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-45 win against Valencia on the 30th. As for Auburn, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 80-60 victory against St. Paul on the 30th.
