Basketball Recap: Seneca Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Janell Julue and Arionna Tunstall

Seneca lost against Male back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Seneca Red Hawks fell to the Male Bulldogs 39-34.

Arionna Tunstall and Janell Julue certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Tunstall almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds, while Julue posted seven points in addition to seven boards and six steals. That was a full 38.2% of Seneca's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Seneca's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Male, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.

Seneca has already played their next game, a 51-35 win against Fairdale on the 28th. As for Male, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
