Baseball Recap: Canyon Crest Academy Takes a Loss

Canyon Crest Academy scored first but ultimately less than Fallbrook in their game on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 8-7. The Ravens were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Canyon Crest Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Leshner, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs Leshner has posted since back in March of 2024. Another was Jack Harkin, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

This is the second loss in a row for Canyon Crest Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-5-1. As for Fallbrook, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Canyon Crest Academy will challenge Mission Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon Crest Academy is facing Mission Vista at the right time seeing as Mission Vista is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Fallbrook, they will face off against Foothill at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
