Basketball Recap: Taylor Comes Up Short

Taylor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 52-37 to the Burnet Bulldogs. The Ducks were down 39-18 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

When it comes to explaining why Taylor lost, don't look at Sophia Fisher. Despite the final result, she posted ten points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Fisher is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Molli Kennick was another key player, putting up eight points.

Taylor's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Burnet, their victory bumped their record up to 11-14.

Taylor will face off against Marble Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burnet, they will welcome Jarrell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jarrell will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Burnet surely won't give up without a fight.
