Basketball Recap: Menchville Takes a Loss

Menchville lost against Woodside back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Menchville Monarchs were beaten by the Woodside Wolverines 83-38. While losing is never fun, the Monarchs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Wolverines are ranked fifth).

Menchville's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Woodside, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Menchville will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kempsville at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Woodside, they will be home for the holidays to greet Miller School of Albemarle at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
