Basketball Recap: Dahliyana Baldwin Key Part of a Team Effort in Wolverines Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Terry Sanford, Westover was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They took down the Western Harnett Eagles 40-24. The Wolverines have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Westover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dahliyana Baldwin, who posted eight points and five steals. Baldwin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Cheyenne Soles was another key player, putting up seven points.

Westover's record now sits at 9-7. As for Western Harnett, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westover will welcome E.E. Smith at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Harnett, they will be playing at home against Terry Sanford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Terry Sanford has four straight victories, Western Harnett has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
