Football Recap: Wauseon Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Wauseon unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 34-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairview Apaches on Friday. Indians fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Apaches since Friday.

William Zeedyk was nothing short of spectacular for Fairview: he threw for 267 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 64 yards and a pair of scores.

Wauseon will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eastwood at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Fairview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Delta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
