Baseball Recap: Los Gatos Snags 11th Victory in Last 12 Games

Los Gatos barely beat Burlingame the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 6-0 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Gavin Seiler looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Los Gatos let Lucas Carlisle and Beau Musser run wild. Carlisle went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run, while Musser went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brady Simon, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Los Gatos has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Burlingame, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Los Gatos will face off against Gunn at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Burlingame, they will square off against Carlmont at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
