Basketball Recap: Durfee Comes Up Short

Durfee lost against New Bedford back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Durfee Hilltoppers fell 71-58 to the New Bedford Whalers.

Durfee's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for New Bedford, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Coming up, Durfee won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Arlington at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Arlington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Durfee likes a good challenge. As for New Bedford, they will challenge Franklin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
