Basketball Recap: Katy Comes Up Short

Katy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jordan Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-48 back in December of 2024.

Katy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Jordan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Katy Tigers duke it out with the Paetow Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jordan, they will square off against Katy Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Jordan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
