Soccer Recap: River View Takes Down St. Clairsville in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and River View had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the St. Clairsville Red Devils on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. River View might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

Cameron Murphy and Bodey Richard scored all three of River View's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

The victory (which was River View's fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four matches. As for St. Clairsville, their loss ended an eight-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-2-1.

Coming up, River View will square off against Wheelersburg at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. River View will need to watch out since Wheelersburg have now posted at least four goals in their last five contests. St. Clairsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
